There are no major experiences in life that do not change us in some way making us new individuals going forward. At the young age of 42, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was a turning point in my life. I was both shocked and scared when I heard the words. I had two young sons. How could this be? I exercised and ate well, I thought! There was no family history. Yet this was the road I must travel, and quite a road it was! As I said, life has a way of molding you. It led me to where I am today, a holistic health coach with a passion for assisting people looking to make changes to their current lifestyle for a variety of reasons, many facing health concerns and some because they have no more patience dealing with never feeling quite right! After having dealt with the issues of treating an illness, I realized the focus should be on trying to prevent getting it in the first place!!! From that point forward I read, listened, learned, and lived everything I could to make changes in my life to make it healthier, including going back to school, graduating from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition. Even though this was a sometimes difficult and a gradual process, I realized that it was well worth it! I constantly reminded myself to have patience. As time went on, I began to feel better and better every day. I began to understand what it meant to have bright eyes, good skin, and hair, clarity of mind not to mention being at the perfect weight all as a side effect of this new healthy life style to which I was now committed. Today I am 59 years young with countless experience helping many achieve their healthy life goals through diet and exercise!!! I am passionate about how I live and enjoy sharing that knowledge with those interested in learning.
