The Pink Ribbon Recovery Program is Pilates based. There are four phases to the Pink Ribbon Recovery Program. Each phase should be maintained for two to four weeks with exercises done two or three times per week. The progression depends on the individual's needs.
The purpose of the program is to aid breast cancer survivors in regaining range of motion, strength, and flexibility in the medically treated regions as well as the whole recovering person. Once the program is completed, the participant is ready to join in may types of mainstream activities. Using the program will help maintain daily activities, decrease join stiffness, and improve overall well-being. It is another form of support for people who have suffered the diagnosis of breast cancer and what goes with it. Personal bonds are formed, strength and range of motion are recovered during this eight to sixteen week program.
This formal recovery program was designed by a breast cancer survivor. She knew how important it was to regain functional ability in the affected arm/shoulder. It will give those participating the feeling of being proactive in order to reach their full recovery. They will sense a feeling of well-being that is sometimes lost along the road for diagnosis through surgery/treatment and into recovery.
As a breast cancer survivor myself, the program gave me both the physical and mental strength to move on. As a certified instructor in the Pink Ribbon Program. I would be grateful to be given the opportunity to help others who are dealing with this traumatic experience.
The program would include private sessions each lasting 45 minutes. The cost to participant would be $100 per session or 5 sessions $450 or 10 sessions for $850.
Group sessions available upon request at the cost of $80 per participant, no more than 3 per group.
